Ingredients:

  • For the Bolognese Sauce:
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 carrot, finely chopped
    • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
    • 500 grams ground beef
    • 1/2 cup red wine
    • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
    • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
    • 1 cup beef broth
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1 teaspoon dried basil
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the Ramen:
    • 4 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
    • 4 soft-boiled eggs
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bolognese Sauce:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the finely chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
    • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.
    • Pour in the red wine and cook until it has mostly evaporated.
    • Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, dried oregano, and dried basil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
    • Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and flavorful.
  2. Cook the Ramen Noodles:
    • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
    • Drain the noodles and set aside.
  3. Assemble the Ramen Bolognese:
    • Divide the cooked ramen noodles among serving bowls.
    • Spoon the Bolognese sauce over the noodles.
    • Top each bowl with a soft-boiled egg.
  4. Add the Finishing Touches:
    • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over each bowl.
    • Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if using.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve immediately and enjoy the rich, meaty Bolognese sauce with the chewy texture of ramen for a delightful twist on a classic dish.
